Our Most Popular Day

A shared small-group Barossa wine tour, done properly

If you want the full Barossa Valley experience without booking out a whole vehicle, this is the one. You join a small group of fellow wine lovers for a relaxed full day — and at $180 per person it is comfortably our most popular tour.

Small-group means exactly that: a comfortable luxury vehicle rather than a full-size coach, so cellar doors greet you properly and there is time to actually talk to the people pouring. Across the day you will visit a minimum of four boutique wineries — the small, family-owned makers tucked down the side roads that the big tours drive straight past.

Your guide is Kirsty, a Barossa local with around 14 years of guiding behind her. She knows which cellar doors are pouring something special this week, which winemakers are usually on site, and how to pace a day so it never feels rushed. Every kilometre is door-to-door, so nobody in your group has to nominate a driver.

A Taste Of The Day

How your Barossa day unfolds

From a 10am door-to-door pickup, the group heads out into the valley while the cellar doors are still quiet. The morning is usually two boutique wineries — unhurried tastings where there's time to ask questions rather than being moved along.

A cellar-door tasting poured during a small-group Barossa Valley wine tour

A regional platter lunch lands in the middle of the day among the vines. The afternoon brings at least two more cellar doors, often with a winemaker on hand, before we have you back at your door by 4pm — no driving, no planning, nothing to organise.

Small-group Barossa wine tour FAQs

What is a small-group Barossa wine tour?

How many wineries do you visit?
A minimum of four boutique wineries across the day, chosen from the small, family-owned cellar doors the large coaches tend to skip. Where possible you'll also meet the local winemakers behind the wines.
Is lunch included in the shared tour?
Yes — a regional platter lunch is included as part of the full day, enjoyed among the vines between tastings.
What time does the small-group tour run?
The tour runs as a full day from 10am to 4pm, with pickup and return from your accommodation included. A minimum of two guests is required for the tour to run.
Should I choose the shared tour or a private tour?
The shared small-group tour at $180 per person is the most popular option and is ideal if you're happy to share the day with a few other wine lovers. If you'd prefer to choose every winery yourself and set your own pace, the private Barossa wine tour is fully customised to your group.
